Smiling Teacher in Art Classroom

Welcome to Art with Ms. Inglee!
Hello, fabulous Mustang families! I'm Ms. Devon Inglee, and I'm so lucky to guide our amazing Manzanita artists through a year filled with creativity, color, and joy. From Squishmallow sewing to flower crown dog portraits, every project is a celebration of imagination and self-expression. Our students explore a wide variety of materials and techniques, building confidence, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of art.

Family Evening of the Arts & Culture
Our Family Evening of the Arts & Culture was a true celebration of the heart and spirit of Manzanita! Families came together to explore the incredible creativity of our students, with hallways and classrooms transformed into vibrant galleries filled with artwork from every grade level. The evening showcased not only our students’ artistic achievements but also the diverse cultures and stories that enrich our school community. Thanks to our parent volunteers' dedication and our families' joyful energy, it was one of our most memorable events yet. As students bring home their portfolios, we hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on their growth and creativity this year—we can’t wait to see what they’ll create next!

Bringing Learning to Life—and Finding Pets Forever Homes
Student learning goes beyond the classroom in this heartwarming fifth grade project partnership with CFSD art teachers Ms. Inglee and Ms. Fouts. Through a special partnership with The Humane Society, students from Manzanita and Ventana Vista Elementary Schools are using their art skills to make a real-world impact—creating hand-drawn portraits of adoptable animals. These colorful portraits are displayed on the animals’ enclosures to help them catch the eyes (and hearts) of potential adopters. It’s a powerful blend of creativity, compassion, and community connection.
